Take a video, feed it to viDrop, and it will get it ready to be played on your Samsung or iPad tablet, Nokia, iPhone or Android smartphone, and for various other devices. You can do this because viDrop is a user friendly and free video transcoder that will quickly convert the movies or videos you choose.

You can use viDrop for free on Linux and Windows. The Windows installation file is little over 21MB in size. Download this file (shouldn’t take long on a high-speed internet connection), run it, click through the setup wizard that shows up, and moments later you will be done with the installation process.

Also in just a few moments you will figure out how to use the viDrop interface. The application features a simple, minimalist interface that will not be a problem for anyone, not even a novice computer user. Easily use this interface to convert videos to a format that your portable media player, smartphone, or tablet can play.

Using viDrop is a simple three step process.
Step 1: select the video you want to convert, select the subtitles you want to accompany the video.
Step 2: choose one of the many presets viDrop has to offer. Presets for various smartphones, MIDs, tablets, and portable media players are included.
Step 3: preview the converted video or go right ahead and convert it.

viDrop is freeware – you can use the application on your Windows or Linux-powered machine for as long as you want and not part with your money. You should consider making a donation though if you enjoy using viDrop and you want to support its development.

Easily and quickly convert videos with the free viDrop video transcoder for Windows and Linux.

Pros

viDrop is available for Windows and Linux. Numerous presets are covered, including Android, iPhone, iPad, and HTC. viDrop is freeware. Preview the video before converting it.

Cons

None that I could think of.
